Great care has been taken to preserve the original features, with a magnificent working fireplace in the living room and all the bedrooms are en-suite. The Bastide town of Domme, known as the Acropolis of the Dordogne, is just a few minutes' drive. Within 10km there are several historical attractions including the châteaux at Beynac, Castelnau and Montfort, the historic riverside village of La Roque-Gageac and the gardens at Marqueyssac. The medieval city of Sarlat, with its famous twice weekly market, is just a 10-minute drive. This location offers opportunities for walking, canoeing and swimming from the River Dordogne and is a wonderfully private place to retreat after a day sightseeing.
