A 2-Hour drive outside of Cape Town on the R60 highway, off the N2, as you head into the Garden Route. Discover the historic charm of 5-Star Guest accommodation that comprises of 10-exclusive rooms - Double, Twin & Family Rooms plus a romantic honeymoon suite. With breakfast included and a fine-dining restaurant on-site for dinner, we grow our own produce for the table. The Classic Quarter
Cape Dutch style building is the original Slave quarters on the Farm built in 1723. The beautiful thatch roof encompasses 4-Rooms and two communal lounges, complete with an Honor Bar facility, private courtyard and is situated next to the salt-water pool.
- Room 1: Is downstairs off the communal Lounge area and has a ceiling fan, king size Sleigh bed, coffee & tea facilities, percale linen and under floor heating, large shower and en-suite toilet. Beautiful orchard views.
- Room 2: Is downstairs off the communal Lounge area and has a ceiling fan with a king size bed (can also be made-up as twin beds) as well as single bed for child or 3rd person, coffee & tea facilities, percale linen, under floor heating, en-suite bathroom with claw foot bath and hand shower. Beautiful orchard view.
- Room 3: Is on the second floor off the upstairs communal Lounge with thatch roof and air-conditioning, king size bed (can also be made up as twin beds), coffee & tea facilities, percale linen and beautiful Victorian bath with hand shower in main bedroom and en-suite toilet.
- Room 4: Is on the second floor off the upstairs communal Lounge with a mountain facing view and a thatch roof and air-conditioning, king size bed, coffee & tea facilities, percale linen and beautiful Victorian bath with hand shower in main bedroom and en-suite toilet. Orchard view.
- Room 10: Has an inter-leading door with Room 9. These two rooms are ideal for travelling families, bridal parties or close friends. This open plan bed and bathroom has a king sized bed (can be made up as twins), percale linen, coffee & tea facilities, stocked mini bar and air-conditioning. The open plan bathroom has a stone bath, double headed large shower and en-suite toilet. Orchard view.
Famous for our baked goods, preserves, and orchards, we provide an award winning dining experience.
All overnight guests are treated to our Breakfast, which includes fresh fruit parfait topped with homemade muesli and yogurt, followed by hot breakfast of their choice, fresh squeezed juice and fresh brewed coffee or tea.
Lunch and dinner menu changes frequently as the kitchen utilizes fresh produce grown in its own garden. Diners are sure to be pleased with choices such as the rack of lamb, duck confit, aged beef fillet, or our famous kudu fillet.
All pastas are handmade and salad is picked fresh daily. It is often said dessert should be eaten first, for it is not to be missed. Pecan pie is a specialty made with the organically grown pecans from the farm and topped with homemade ice cream.

- Payment of the balance due at 30 days prior to arrival in high season (May to August)
The Country House reserves the right to release bookings should the booking terms not be adhered to.

- Cancellation 60 to 31 days prior to arrival: 60% of total accommodation.
- Cancellation made 30 days or less prior to arrival: 100% of total accommodation

There are not enough superlatives to describe this slice of paradise. Not only is it in a beautiful setting, but the incredible food, wine and food and exceptional service are second to none. Johan, Trouette (the phenomenal chef) and staff pay attention to every detail, yet seem to do it effortlessly and with such professionalism. The special touches such as vases of beautiful flowers, quality bath products, sweets and petals on the bed at night made our stay even more special. Others have mentioned the off-road tour which we too would highly recommend. Johan is very knowledgeable about the farm, its agriculture and the wine they produce. An example of the exemplary service was on the morning we were leaving. We walked out to the car and one of the staff had washed our vehicle. That has never happened to us before! There is absolutely nothing we didn't like. We ate every meal there and the Chardonnay and the Pinotage wine, recommended by Johan, were the best we have ever had. If we are ever fortunate enough to return to this part of the world, we would definitely stay here. In the meantime, we will highly recommend it to others.
