Our Lodge is a unique Drakensberg accommodation option. Its an inspiring experience and is likely to be one of your most remembered accommodation venues ever.
Our comfortable accommodation includes breakfast and dinner. We use our own organic vegetable garden. What we can't grow ourselves we source locally. We have our own chickens for eggs, cows for milk, make own cheese, butter and yogurt and bake our own bread.
We offer an intimate and personal experience. No big hotels, just friendly and welcoming hospitality with excellent home cooked food, superb walks and hikes, reading in front of the fireplace, playing board games and pleasant company.

The Mountain View Suites are mountain facing and are the more generous accommodation options offered at the Lodge. These suites include a spacious lounge, a large bedroom with a king size bed an en suite bathroom and a veranda to relax. The suites include a wood burning fireplace.
The bathroom includes a Jacuzzi spa bath and separate shower.
Some of the units have an upstairs loft which is great for an extra person or if you want your children to be in the same unit.

We are one of the few pet-friendly places in the Drakensberg. One of the accommodation units is fenced in so its really easy to leave your dog behind if you would like to explore some of the sights where pets are not that welcome.

One of the mountain view units is accessible using a wheelchair. The unit is on 1 level, has a spacious bathroom and has a shower which fits a wheelchair.

The garden suites feature a spacious bedroom with a queen size bed with a lounge area and en-suite bathroom. Some units even have Jacuzzi spa baths and separate showers while others just have a shower.
The rooms include a wood burning fireplace. Each unit features an individual covered patio that looks out onto a private garden.
Above the bedroom is a small loft with 2 single beds for your children and a lovely view of the weaver bird nests in the Jacaranda tree.

There is a lot to do or you could just chill out. The main attraction is the Drakensberg Mountains, so a visit to Giants Castle and some hiking is a great idea. Or you could visit one of the best rock art sites in South Africa at Kamberg.
We offer horse trails ideally suited to beginners. There is the option to fly in a hot air balloon, glide with vultures in a microlight or a game drive in the Zulu Waters Private Game Reserve.
